Zones, Districts & Local Unions
EPSU Ghana reaches every corner of the nation through 10 zones, 30+ districts, and 153+ local unions — plus TerNet for tertiary institutions.
The EPSU Structure
Every EP student fits into this hierarchy - from their local union all the way up to the national body.
National
The National Council and Annual Delegates Congress govern the entire union. The Congress meets every August.
Zone / Presbytery
10 presbyteries & zones cover Ghana geographically. Each zone has its own executives, zonal conference, and zonal camp.
District
Each zone is subdivided into districts. Districts coordinate activities and support local unions within their area.
Local Union
The smallest unit - a branch in a school, church, or community. This is where students first experience EPSU.
TerNet
StandaloneTertiary Network - a standalone national branch for university, colleges and polytechnic students, parallel to the zone structure.

TerNet
TerNet is the Tertiary Network of EPSU - a national branch (not a zone) that connects all EPSU members in universities, technical universities and colleges across Ghana.
Officially launched at the 12th Annual Delegates Congress in 2005 at Akwamuman Secondary School, TerNet reports directly to the National Council.

How EPSU Makes Decisions
The Annual Delegates Congress is the highest decision-making body of EPSU. It convenes every year in August, bringing together delegates from all zones to elect national executives, review the union's progress, set policy, and chart the direction for the coming year.
Congress is the heartbeat of EPSU - the gathering where every zone has a voice, and the direction of the entire union is decided together.
Between congresses, the National Council in collaboration with the National Executive Committee (NEC) manages the day-to-day affairs of the union, while zones and districts run their own programmes and zonal camps (held on alternating years from national camp meetings).
